Cable Knit Purse

I knitted this purse a couple of years ago from someone else's rough instructions. I modified it a bit to make it bigger. It's a pretty simple pattern but the link is since gone, and I've gotten a few requests to repost it, so here it is. It's basically a rectangle that you'll fold and stitch up, and it knits up really quickly - 4-5 hrs!

Make the lining. Fold your knitted piece in half and mattress stitch the sides, stopping 2-3 inches before the end. This will allow you to open your bag easier. Add lining. With a length of yarn, attach to the top opening and stitch the purse handle in place. Repeat for other side.

The Leavs & Berries pin is my own design. Variations of pin colors can be purchased in my Etsy shop, or you can purchase the leaf pattern in my shop and make it yourself. Happy knitting!
