My friends at Clay Wood & Cotton moved a few doors down to a beautiful shop that has twice as much space as the last place! What are they doing with all that extra space? The second room is the YARN room!!! Squeeee! And if you're not in Beacon, NY, fear not - they have a fantastic online shop.
I went up last Saturday to Beacon with my friend May of Take Me Homeware - the original "Clay". Her ceramics are on the top shelf of the stacked benches below. There were the cutest two little boys sitting in little rocking chairs in the window knitting and crocheting. One, being one of the owners' son. If they don't pull you in, I don't know what will. The shop carries my embroideries, photo prints, and other odds and ends, so if you're in the area that's where you can find me. May & I had a great time, and even got to stop off at Poppy's for tasty burgers & fries. Yum! I snapped some photos when the crowd subsided. It was a full house!
May & I are going to do a knit-a-long with our purchase of Melissa Morgan-Oakes' 2-at-a-time Socks book - so excited! She picked out Jill Draper sock yarn for her project - notice a color scheme? Jill hand dyes fabulous color combinations. I'll post more on our projects & progress!
